The Centre for Precision Agriculture and Sustainability hosted its third Ag-Tech Day on March 26, 2025. The event brought together around 100 in-person attendees, a large online audience, and farming community representatives to explore innovative collaborations, research advancements, and commercialization opportunities in agriculture.

Opening Remarks and CPAS Introduction

The event began with opening remarks from Dr. Steven Bryant, Dr. Pierre Kennepohl, and Dr. Farhad Maleki, who emphasized the pivotal role of precision agriculture and the Centre for Precision Agriculture and Sustainability (CPAS) in driving innovation. Their introductions set the tone for a day focused on fostering collaboration among academia, industry, and farming communities to advance sustainable and economically viable agricultural solutions.

After the opening remarks, a group of industry, academic, and farming community leaders took the stage to deliver a series of engaging presentations. Mac Hunik (Threshold UAV), Tom Gruszowski (Verge Ag), Damilare Odumosu (CropMind), Brady Stadnicki (AdFarm), Simon Loewen (TerraLink Horticulture, New Era AI), Megan Croft (SVG Ventures THRIVE), and Jeff Kwok (AdvancedUAV Tech Inc.) shared their insights into various aspects of precision agriculture and sustainability. Their talks covered a diverse range of topics, stimulating thought-provoking discussions and offering attendees valuable perspectives on the current challenges and emerging opportunities in agriculture.
